Assignment problem: You are the newly appointed advisor to the State Minister for Futures and keen to impress. The Minister has been asked to convene a high level think-tank across four key government departments: health; urban planning; climate change; transport. The focus of the think-tank is life in urban environments post COVID-19. Outline the key issues that the Minister will need to address to ensure that the community can keep healthy and well both physically and 4 mentally. Consider the following in determining the key issues (but don't feel you have to be limited to these):
1. Promotion of community health - both the immediate acute concerns regarding the virus and longer-term chronic disease reduction
2. Transport - the continued use of public transport for daily commuting and greater uptake of cycling and walking
3. The need to keep people physically active and socially connected even if there is a requirement to be physically distancing in their local neighborhoods.
4. The implications (especially related to equity) of working from home
5. Equity across the generations and the socio-economic divide.
