Projection of planes


Question 1: A circular lamina of 60 mm diameter rests on HP on a point 1 of its circumference. The lamina is inclined to HP in such as way that the top view of it is an ellipse of minor axis 35 mm. The top view of the diameter through the point 1 makes an angle of 45o with VP. Draw the projections and find out the angle of plane made with the HP.

Question 2: A thin rectangular plate of sides 60 mm x 30 mm has its shorter side in VP and inclined at 30o to HP. Project its top view if the front view is a square of 30 mm long sides.

Question 3: A semi-circular lamina of diameter 64 mm diameter has its straight edge in VP and inclined at an angle of 45o to HP. The surface of lamina makes an angle of 30o with the VP. Draw its projections.

Question 4: A square lamina PQRS of side 40 mm rests on ground on its corner P in such a manner that the diagonal PR is inclined at 45o to the VP and apparently inclined at 30o to the VP. Draw its projections.

Question 5: A pentagonal plate of side 30 mm is resting on the HP on one of its corners with its surface inclined at 45o to HP. The side opposite to resting corner is parallel to Vp and farther away from it. Sketch its projections.
