Take an early look at Chapter 14: Managing Projects. There are a multitude of methodologies, and texts, on the topic, though your text provides a basic, entry-level overview. Project management in of itself can be thought of as a stand-alone discipline, but effective project management skills are critical to managers at all levels.
Using either a current or former project in which you have been involved professionally, describe your project through the project phases identified in your text (Section 14.2). Write from the context of your relationship to the project as well as the project's relationship with supply chain - what was your role, how did you contribute? What was the supply chain impact? If you've not had this experience, apply the same phased approached of a project within your current or former organization.
