Select a business project from the UAE (or another country) and evaluate it through the techniques studied. A project is "a temporary attempt undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result." A project ends when its objectives have been reached, or the project has been terminated. Projects can be large or small and take a short or long time to complete. The project must have a well-defined objective composed of a series of interdependent tasks, utilizing various resources, have a specific time frame, have a customer and should involve a degree of uncertainty. Your case project should be planned, but maybe not started, or started but un- finished or completed to its delivery stage; providing it meets the project criteria and has material that meets this project content requirement.

Assignment structure: The research project report should cover the following main content:

1- Scope management plan

  • Scope statement
  • Project justification

  • Quantifiable objectives

2- Work Breakdown Structure

  • Deliverables
  • Down to the level of work packages
  • Unique identifier
  • WBS dictionary including cost accounts mapped to both work packages and organizational functions (units)

3- Project Constraints

  • Analyzing possible project constraints and how to manage them.
  • Identifying (with rationale) whether the project is time-constrained, resource-constrained (or both) , and how to manage the situation

4- Time management

  • Activity list description with duration
  • The project network using AON method, showing all forward pass computations , backward pass computations, slack, critical path and project duration

5- Human resource management

  • Project Role & responsibility assignments
  • Project Organization chart
  • The optimum project organization structure to manage this project.
