Assignment:
Industry Research Paper (3 to 5 pages) In this project the students learn about the behaviors of the firms under different market structures. Each group selects a corporation or an industry. The paper should address one or all of the following issues:
1. Products and services provided by the industry.
2. The competitiveness of the industry as measured by various statistics, such as the industry concentration ratio of three biggest companies. Can the industry be described as a monopoly, oligopoly, monopolistic competition, or perfect competition?
3. Key government regulations that the industry must comply.
4. Pricing policies of the corporation or the key players in the industry.
