Productivity and Technology- Examples of Innovations
Recent innovations are increasing productivity. Go to the Timeline of Historic Inventions at
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_invention.
Scroll down to the very bottom of the page. Under the blue banner headline "Inventions by nation or region" find "timeline of inventions" on the left. In the parentheses after "United States" click on 1946-1991 (or after 1991, depending on which part of the assignment you're doing). Look at them and later inventions. Cite three technological "home runs" (for example, the transistor in 1947) that you believe have greatly increased productivity and explain why. Which one innovation do you think has increased productivity the most? List two innovations since 1990. How might they have boosted productivity? You should have a list containing five inventions total.
