Assignment problem: Conflict management is the process for handling disputes and disagreements between two or multiple parties.  Successful conflict management results in a mutually beneficial outcome that's agreed upon by each party.  Utilizing the concepts from this week's lecture and in your initial post, address the following:

  • Think of a person with whom you have had a recent conflict with. Describe the situation and explain how you would resolve the conflict.
  • Address whether the conflict is functional or dysfunctional, which conflict management styles both parties have used and effective strategies for resolving the conflict.
