Problem: Select and bring to class on the assigned date a copy of an article from an OP-ED selection of a newspaper or an Editorial. Write a short paper on that writer's article (2-3 typed pages double spaced). The summary should analyzed the writer's argument and explain how the writer uses, or does not use, Toulmin argumentation effectively. Inculde the following four elements of a Toulmin argument: 1) claim and 2) reason (the enthymeme), 3) grounds, and 4) warrant. Analyze how well the writer does or does not utilize these four elements.
