Problem related to the nervous system

Problem:

The nervous system, the body's primary communication network, comprises two main components: the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) and the peripheral nervous system (nerves extending throughout the body) (Lone Star Neurology, 2025). Your central nervous system (CNS) is a part of your nervous system and consist of your brain and spinal cord. It gathers information from your sensory nerves, processes it, and generates responses. This regulation ensures that all bodily functions are carried out efficiently (Cleveland Clinic, 2023). When you're under stress it initiates a chain reaction within the body. When a person encounters a stressful event, the amygdala a brain region crucial for emotional processing sends a distress signal to the hypothalamus. This area acts as a command center, coordinating communication with the rest of the body through the nervous system, ensuring that the individual has the necessary energy to either confront or escape the situation. The "fight-or-flight" response triggers observable physical reactions commonly associated with stress, such as an increased heart rate, heightened sensory perception, deeper breathing, and the surge of adrenaline. Subsequently, a hormone called cortisol is released, which aids in replenishing the energy expended during this response. Once the stressful event concludes, cortisol levels decrease, allowing the body to return to a state of equilibrium. To come up with a solution I had to step away. Need Assignment Help?
