Problem:
A mixed methods study is best when you need to know the how much and why it works. It works well when a program is complex such as housing support or trauma services and outcomes depend on context. The quantitative side can show whether outcomes have changed, how big the change was and who benefited the most and the least. The qualitative side can explain how clients experienced the services, what barriers got in the way such as transportation, stigma or paperwork and what parts of the program were helpful. Mixed methods is also useful when numbers and lived experiences don't line up. For example, scores improve but clients still report feeling unsafe or unheard. It helps agencies refine services, tailor them to communities and understand implementation problems before scaling up the service. This approach supports practice decisions that are more effective and responsive to clients' realities. (Farmer & Farmer, 2021). Need Assignment Help?
