Problem:
She has already lost custody of her eleven children who have all been adopted and unfortunately were unable to be placed together. The mother suffers from mental illness, developmental delays and believes she has to have sex with as many men as possible as she feels that is her duty to have children. All of the children's father's whereabouts are unknown. She refuses to engage in any type of treatment, medical appointments and does not have housing. She relies on relatives to help her when she allows the help to happen. What I have done about it? I have made attempts to engage the mother in services, but she refuses to sign a release of information so I cannot move forward with submitting the referrals. I have made attempts to engage her family members, and they believe she is old enough to make her own decisions. They are enablers and think she does not have any real issues that cannot be fixed without engaging in services. What kind of help am I seeking? Does anyone have any ideas in how I can get mom to engage in services? I feel as if I am spinning my wheels and the family refuses to assist in getting help for the mom. Need Assignment Help?
