This assignment exposes students to the exercises that one could perform when training the body for muscle development. During this class, you can decide which exercises you want to use to train your upper, lower, and core for your program. Showing the different ways you can add resistance to your body, besides weights from a gym is important. You can use body weight or light resistance such as bands to add resistance to your exercise. Assignment Directions for Strength & Resistance Training Exercises
For this post, you will share 10 different strength or resistance training exercises that you might include in your personalized fitness plan. Choose exercises you're already familiar with and feel comfortable performing or add in a few you may want to explore. You should include:
- 5 upper body exercises
- 5 lower body exercises
For each exercise, provide the following information:
Exercise name
Targeted area (Upper Body, Lower Body, or Total Body)
Type of resistance used (Body weight, Free weights, Machines, Resistance bands, etc.)
You may present your list in written format or include images to illustrate the exercises. Be clear and specific so your classmates can learn from your examples.
Examples:
Leg Press - Lower Body - Weights (machine)
Push-Up - Upper Body - Body Weight
Bicep Curl - Upper Body - Resistance Band (tubing)
Peer Response Requirement:
After you submit your post, read and respond to at least one classmate's post. Your response should include a minimum of two meaningful statements that show you engaged with their ideas. Aim to make a genuine connection-this could be by:
Highlighting something you learned from their post
Noting an exercise you also included or want to try
Asking a thoughtful question about one of their choices
Sharing how their workout idea might fit into your own routine
