Problem regarding ivory-billed woodpecker

Problem: The ivory-billed woodpecker was rediscovered in 2005 in a swamp in Arkansas after being considered extinct for over 20 years. An important lesson to derive from this episode is that: the Endangered Species Act is not necessary for species recovery. most species that we consider extinct are probably still in existence-they're just difficult to locate. we should continue to conserve the habitat of a species, even if there is a high probability that the species is extinct. there are probably ivory-billed woodpeckers in other swamps in the southeastern United States. one can never prove that extinction has occurred.
