Meet with Sophia for session, youth reported having a good day. Youth just finished meeting with prescriber and reports session went well. Youth hopes that one day she will be medication free, as she would like to be in a place where she doesn't need medication. We discussed youth's biological brother attempting to make contact with her while in program. Sophia reports that she is not sure how he got the number, but that she actually spoke to him several times. We went over phone protocols and who she is approved to communicate with, Sophia reports that her DCPP worker approved for them to contact each other. It was explained to Sophia that I am unaware of that approval as DCPP did not add him to the list. She was advised that I would notify staff that her brother is not allowed to call the program until I speak with DCPP further. She was reminded that this occured several weeks ago and DCPP indicated that this contact was not approved. We further discussed her relationship with her brother, and Sophia reported not understanding why she cannot have contact with her brother. This writer asked Sophia if she recalled anything in her past that could have potentially happened that would prevent her from having a relationship with her brother. Sophia reports that the only thing she recalls is that her brother was always misbehaving in his resource homes. Will continue to explore topic with Sophia, initial presentation is that Sophia does not recall the alleged sexual abuse that reportedly happened between her and this brother.
