Problem on stranger hypothesis or viral colonization

Assignment task: The immune system offers us multiple examples of terms that are intended by scientists to convey facts, but that also may carry sociopolitical implications. Here are two examples,

1. The term "stranger hypothesis," in which foreign molecules are rejected by the body, make some people uncomfortable in its echoes of xenophobia, i.e. fear of foreigners.

2. The term "colonization," often used to describe to a virus invading a host cell, also make some people uncomfortable in its echoes of colonization, a mechanism by which native peoples have been exploited or enslaved.

If in your academic or professional work you need to refer to these concepts, would you be likely to use the phrases "stranger hypothesis" and/or "viral colonization," or would you seek to other terms to convey the same ideas? Briefly explain your thinking
