You have hired by the police department of a large metropolitan city to evaluate the human relations course that is given for new officers. Each of the officers is randomly assigned to one of the training classes. There are three levels of class: One has 5 hours of training; the second has 10 hours of training; and the third has 15 hours of training.
After completing the training the officers are randomly assigned to one of three types of beats: one is an upper-class beat; the second is a middle class beat, and the third is an inner-city beat. After the officers have been the job for 30 working days a survey of their attitudes towards minority groups is done. A higher score isa more positive attitude towards minority groups.
