Problem: Help with responding to classmate's discussion post
For this assignment, I practiced mindfulness meditation for 10 minutes twice a day for three days. I had never really tried mindfulness meditation before, so I wanted to see if it would make a difference in how I handled stress. Because my schedule is busy, I decided to do each session while sitting in my car before work and again before driving home. It was a quiet place where I could take a few minutes for myself without interruptions. During each session, I focused on my breathing and gently brought my attention back whenever my mind started to drift.
Day 1: It was more difficult than I expected to keep my mind on my breathing. I kept thinking about work, school, and everything I needed to get done. Even with those distractions, I noticed that I felt more relaxed after finishing the session.
Day 2: Focusing became a little easier. When my mind wandered, I didn't get frustrated-I just shifted my attention back to my breathing. After both sessions, I felt less tense and noticed I was starting my day with a clearer mind.
Day 3: By the third day, the meditation felt more natural. I was able to pay attention to my breathing while also noticing my thoughts without getting caught up in them. Spending those quiet minutes in my car helped me clear my mind before work and decompress before heading home.
Overall, I was surprised by how much I liked this experience. Mindfulness meditation helped me slow down, focus on my breathing, and be more aware of my thoughts. While it didn't take away all of my stress, it helped me feel calmer and more focused throughout the day. Since it only takes a few minutes and fits easily into my routine, I think it's something I could continue using whenever life starts to feel overwhelming. Need Assignment Help?
