Problem: Assume ABC company has noticed that many of its older workers are leaving the organization and are noting in their exit interview that they felt they were unfairly given low performance ratings, which subsequently affected their yearly pay raise and bonus potential. As the HR Specialist assigned to the Office of Diversity and Inclusion within the firm, you have been asked to see if the firm's data support its assumptions. For this assignment, you will use a t-Test to determine if there is a significant difference between the performance ratings of employees over 40 years of age and those under 40 years of age. You will also pick one other statistical test to perform that would be appropriate to investigate as part of the overarching question/problem.
