I appreciate how it states the information they provide includes "journal articles and non-journal materials" and that it clarifies that on more than one page (Institute of Education Sciences, 2022, p. 2). Understanding whether the material that we are reading is peer-reviewed or not is very important and helpful when referring back to said material. Would you agree?
Frankie said? I am not currently a member of any professional organizations however I do intend to join the American counseling association and the American mental health counselors association. Both of which will help me grow as a professional counselor. The American counseling association is a non profit association that will help me continue to learn and enhance my work as a professional counselor. The American mental health counselors association will also allow me to continue to learn as well as give me the ability to advocate for the mental health of the community. Finding professional organizations that will help you continue to learn is important for allowing you to stay well informed of the newer information and trainings that we will continue to find and develop.
