Question: In 111 words as a social worker paraphrase, expand and ask a probing question. The purpose of this study is to understand how homeless veterans with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders make meaning of recovery while navigating both personal trauma and systemic barriers. By centering veterans' lived experiences, this study aims to illuminate how trauma, stigma, and fragmented services shape their recovery narratives and sense of identity.
