Problem on couples experiences common relational challenges

Problem: Write a reply to this post addressing something unique or interesting. I believe that over time, as couples experiences common relational challenges such as poor communication, trust issues due to past infidelity, financial stress, parenting disagreements, or significant life transitions. These challenges may lead a couple's feeling of being unheard, frustrated or alone. In addition to providing an avenue for couples experiencing frustration/feeling unheard, couple therapy also offers a method for understanding the patterns couples develop over time and it shows how those patterns negatively affect the overall relationship. Couple therapy does not focus on identifying blame for one partner. A primary strength of couple therapy is helping couples recognize the unhealthy patterns they've developed over time and the effect those patterns have had on their relationship. Approaches such as EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), Systemic Couples Therapy, and IBCT (Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy) research has shown to be particularly successful by strengthening a couple's emotional connection, improving communication skills, and developing healthy methods for supporting each other.
