Assignment Task:
Simulation: A graduate of a 2-year college with an accredited medical assistant program lands her first job working for a family practitioner. The physician has been established in her practice for 15 years and is well respected. The graduate thought this was the perfect job. By the end of the first day, she was thrilled but exhausted with the clinical work. She also had numerous concerns and called her former instructor for advice. Her concerns included the following: (1) physician stressed speed in performing procedures at the expense of sterile technique, (2) physician did not follow good sterile technique, (3) graduate was asked to perform procedures that were illegal, (4) charting was incomplete, and (5) sometimes clients were treated rudely.
