Problem based on human adaptation

Problem: When it comes to human adaptation, some type of change is developed in order to help them better survive their environment. Single cell adaption is similar in the sense that the cell changes in how it is operating whenever it gets used to its stimulus. According to the textbook, a cell goes through adaptation since it begins to get "tired" of the same stimulus and does not reach the same level of excitement. The adaptation mechanism can serve a useful purpose in order to conserve energy for something that is not too important to keep noticing. When we notice certain changes in our visual field or are staring a something for a while, it is practical for our vision to not consume as much energy in order for our cells to rest and charge up. Another practical purpose for adaptation is that it can allow for us to be ready for something new to appear in our visual field after a new degree of change is noticed.
