Problem- part a how would you be able to physically

Problem- Part a) How would you be able to physically separate a solution of 2 different soluble cations by adding another solution?

Part b) Given the following initial conditions- A beaker contains 100 mL of 6.0x10^-3 NaIO3 solution. Into that same beaker, two other solutions are added and the results observed and recorded:

Solution A- 50.0 mL of a 4.8 x 10^-1 M solution of Ca(NO3)2

Solution B- 50.0 mL of a 4.8 x 10^-1 M solution of Zn(NO3)2

a) Write the balanced equation for each possible reaction

b) Determine if none, one or both precipitates will form? Show work
