In an exclusive august 2007 survey of 1,011 people aged 50 and over, AARP The Magazine sought to learn what older Americans think about life after death. They found that 73% agree with the statement "I believe in life after death." 80 percent of women believe in an afterlife while 64% of men believe in an afterlife. Two-thirds of those who believe in life after death also stated that their confidence in a life after death has increased as they've gotten older. (Note: 56.25% of the individual in the survey were women.)
