The probabilities P (A), P (B), and P (AB} #- 0 for non-exclusive events A and B are given. How large is the probability P (A + B) for the observation of A or B? As an example compute the probability that a playing card which was drawn at random out of a deck of 52 cards is either an ace or a diamond.
