Principle of conservation of mechanical energy

Beginning with the initial speed of 5.22 m/s at a height of 0.394 m, a ball of 2.94 kg swings downward and hits a 5.63 kg ball which is at rest. (i) By using the principle of conservation of mechanical energy, determine the speed of 2.94 kg ball just before impact. (ii) Supposing that the collision is elastic, determine the velocity (magnitude and direction) of the ball of 2.94 kg just after the collision. (iii) Supposing that the collision is elastic, determine the velocity (magnitude and direction) of the 5.63 kg ball just after the collision. (iv) How high does the 2.94 ball swing after the collision, avoiding air resistance? (v) How high does the ball of 5.63 kg swing after the collision, avoiding air resistance?
