People engage in criminal behavior for a number of reasons. Some might argue that it is greed, laziness, or plain opportunity. Others have provided more complex reasons. Understanding why people engage in and continue to engage in criminal activities will help you to determine how to discourage and prevent criminal activities.
You will accomplish this task by preparing an analysis on the topic of why people engage in criminal activities. Be sure to:
• Include popular concepts of why individuals engage in criminal activities.
• Compare and contrast theoretical explanations for why people engage in criminal behavior.
• Discuss how these concepts would help you prevent and discourage criminal activities.
• Explain your view of whether a criminal profile can be established for a white collar criminal.
Support your paper with a minimum of three (3) scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.
Length: 5 to 7 pages not including title and reference pages.
