PRESIDENT'S ASSENT:
Under section 46(2) of the Constitution a Bill passed through the National Assembly must be presented to the President for his assent. However the President must signify his assent or refusal to the speaker of the National Assembly within 21 days of receipt of the Bill. Whether he refuses to assent, he must within l4 days thereof deliver to speaker a written memorandum of the provisions that he would like reconsidered and his recommendations and the National Assembly may either:as;
• First to Re-pass the Bill incorporating the Presidents recommendation resent it for his assent with or without amendments or
• Second is Re-pass the Bill in its original form thus ignoring the President's recommendations. Whether the resolution to re-pass the Bill is like as supported through at least 65% of all members excluding ex-officio members the President must imply his assent within 14 days of the resolution.
