You are the CIO for an organization (you can select the vertical i.e. Chemical, Communications, Defense, Energy, Finance, Food and Agriculture, Healthcare, Government, Information Technology, Transportation, Water and Wastewater, etc.) and are tasked with developing the IT strategy. Do you feel that need to understand the underlying drivers/forces that impact the business strategy before you develop the IT strategy, or can you simply use the mission and vision of the business?
