Positioned in the market as a healthy alternative providing a high source of energy, vitamins, minerals, and fiber, it is a no fuss, delicious and healthy choice to fill those in between meals moments. With the fast paced lifestyle’s of today’s consumers and a growing demand for healthier options, an opportunity for growth in the fruit bar industry is presented. To capitalize on this potential, research is needed to discover the most effective distribution methods for this product. By exploring the market potential for distribution of fruit bars, the research team will help management come to the decision of where to distribute the product, and what distribution channels to use.

4. Introduction: Problem definition including background to the problem, highlight the discussion with the decision maker and industry experts and discuss important secondary data analysis, the qualitative research that was conducted and the factors that were considered. It should contain a clear statement of management decision problem and marketing research problem.

5. Approach to the problem: This section should discuss the broad approach that was adopted in addressing the problem. This section should also contain a description of the theoretical foundations, any analytical conceptual models formulated, research questions, hypotheses and factors that influenced the research design.

6. Research Design: This section should include the nature of the research design adopted, information needed, data collection from secondary and primary sources, questionnaire design, scaling techniques. Please develop the questionnaire, get it approved from the client, pretest it and provide the questionnaire in the appendix.

7. Fieldwork and data collection: How data will be collected?

8. Plan for data Analysis: Please mention how will you analyze the data, and how results will be interpreted?

9. Reporting: The nature and number of intermediate reports. The form of final report. What information and what documents will be provided to the Client. Budget and time: Please provide the cost of the project and a schedule, broken down into phases, should be presented. A payment schedule should be worked out in advance, with first payment, second payment, third payment etc. This will also serve as a coordinating document between the research agency and the client.
