Abstract
Micro heat pipes are advancement of the conventional heat pipes in technology and usage. First they are proposed by Cotter (1984), and subsequently there is lot of research done for enhancing the applicability as well as for improving the performance of the devices. The current write-up briefly explains the principle of working of micro heat pipes, as well as the constructional features. Also provided is some information regarding the results of the research performed to enhance the performance of the micro heat pipe. The report also discusses advantages of the micro heat pipes over the conventional heat pipes and limitations of MHPs, as well as the recent trends and scope for future improvement of the technology.
