Assignment: School Social Work
Interview a School Social Worker from your area (or another city/state) The person in which you choose to interview should be a person certified in the field. Do not ask another faculty member, a family member, or someone who will be a presenter in the course for an interview. Go into this aspect within our field, network, and get to know other professionals in the field. It is the hope of this assignment that you learn something new about the social work profession and interviewing someone you are already close to will not allow you to do so. Full 3+ page minimum.
1. Prepare a paper detailing the professional's background using the following seven items at the minimum:
2. How they entered the social work profession.
3. Their experience with the licensure/certification process/renewal process as a school social worker.
4. Their philosophy of social work and helping others.
5. Their likes and dislikes or other challenges related to their chosen profession.
6. Their considerations/advice for individuals considering a career in social work.
7. What degrees, certifications, titles, credentials, or other specialized training do they hold?
8. What is a typical work day/week/month like [cover all 3 points]?
9. What do they wish they had known about the field when they were a student such as yourself?
Format your assignment according to the give formatting requirements:
1. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
