Prepare a design brief for your instructional or training

Instructional Activities:

Think of problems which can be solved through education or training that you would like to address. Choose one which will become the topic of your semester-long project and assignments.

As an instructional designer, you have been asked to create a design brief by a client to address the instructional problem.

The design brief will serve as the guiding document for the entire design process. It will spell out exactly what you, as the designer, need to do, and the constraints within which you need to do it.

Your design brief should help ease your design work and avoid any problems with your client.

The work that needs to be completed as is attached as a word document. Only one page required.

ANSWER QUESTIONS ON THE WORD DOCUMENT.

Prepare a design brief for your instructional or training unit. The design brief should include:

• A statement of the instructional problem the unit will address.

• A general description of the unit you will design to answer the design problem.

• A description of what your learners will be able to do after completing the unit.

• A brief description of your intended learners.

• A brief description of the learning environment where you will deliver the unit, for example on-line class, on-line self-paced instruction, face-to-face classroom, etc.

• An estimate of the time needed for an average learner to complete the instruction.

Limit your design brief to less than 1 page. Be prepared to share your design brief with fellow students in the discussion board and to revise it based upon their feedback.
