Premises of the moral problem

Assignment:

Choose one of the three premises of the moral problem we have considered: the objectivity requirement, the practicality requirement, or the Humean theory of rationality. Assess whether or not this premise should be rejected. In doing so, you should consider arguments both for and against the premise, and consider what responses there might be to these arguments. In addition, you should use at least 1 source we did not discuss in class, preferably from the list of recommended extra readings posted on blackboard.

For the final essay proposal, you need to choose which premise of the moral problem you will discuss, and choose one external source you will consult in writing the final paper (again, preferably from the recommended extra sources). Then, you must write up a 300 to 500 word summary of an argument from that source that you intend to use in your paper, complete with a discussion of how this argument relates to your overall topic. You can also optionally include a brief suggestion of how this argument might be responded to, in order to get feedback on this proposed response.
