Prejudice and discrimination have a significant and pervasive impact on all types of workplaces, including; who is hired (or not) for which jobs, worker income, job satisfaction, workplace climate, talent retention, etc. Choose one of the following "isms" and research how this particular "ism" impacts workplace environments and workers: racism, sexism, homophobia, classism, ableism, ageism, or religious intolerance. You will need to find 5 academic articles related to your topic of choice, and provide a 2-paragraph annotation for each. Paragraphs need to be 4-6 detailed sentences.

The first paragraph of the annotation will be a summary of the main points of the article. The second paragraph will be an explanation of how the article is connected to your "ism" in the workplace. Specifically, the second paragraph will need provide information on the "who, what, why, when, or how" the "ism" is connected to the workplace. The final result should be that each of the "who, what, why, when, or how" is covered by at least one of the articles. For example:

* One article should discuss What this "ism" is

* Another article should discuss How this "ism" happens in the workplace (e.g. statistics)

* A third article will address Who is effected by this ism, and who perpetrates this ism

* A fourth article will need to explain Why this "ism" happens.

This is a research assignment, which is to be written in an academic tone and style. You are expected to have at least 5 academic references cited, (peer-reviewed journals, etc). You must use APA format to cite the articles. References should be as new to the literature as possible (last 10 years).
