The two large, parallel, conducting plates are 18 cm apart and encompass charges of equivalent magnitude and opposite sign on their facing surfaces. The electrostatic force of 4.5 x 10^-15 N acts on an electron placed anywhere between the two plates. (Avoid fringing.)

(i) Determine the electric field (in N/C) at the position of the electron.

(ii) Determine the potential difference in volts between the plates?
