• Since the time of the Beatles, the sounds of sitars and other traditional Indian instruments (either the actual instruments or digitally sampled versions) have become commonplace in much Western popular music. Recordings of groups and artists ranging from the Rolling Stones to Ricky Martin feature an "Indian" element. Beginning with keyword searches on the Internet (such as search "Rolling Stones AND sitar" or "Ricky Martin AND sitar"), try to locate several examples of such music. Post your findings on the discussion board, including what Indian elements you hear and how they function in the music.
The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
