Problem:
Max Fillo driver of the Nissan Car was driving along Royal Road, Triolet going towards Port Louis when he knocked against a lorry which was parked on the left side of the road. The accident happened at 20:00 hours and Max Fillo and the lorry driver reported the matter at Triolet Police Station. PC John was recording statement of Max Fillo, when another office came, PC Smith asked Max Fillo to follow him at the rear of the police station, which he did. The said police officer told Max Fillo that he will sort out his case so that he will not face with any criminal charge such as driving devoid of due care and attention and for that Max Fillo has to give him the sum of Rs 5,000. PC Smith was not involved in the enquiry of the case but let Max Fillo to think that he will give the money to PC John for him to write the statement in his favour.
The next day Sunil who was the friend of Max Fillo came to see PC Smith and gave him the sum of Rs 5,000 for Max Fillo.
Two month after, Max Fillo received a letter from the District Court of Mapou, requesting him to attend court on a charge of driving devoid of due care and attention. Max Fillo then went to see a Barrister who asked him the sum of Rs 20,000 for his professional fees and the sum of Rs 50,000 for the Magistrate which will hear his case in order for his case to be dismissed.
Give advice as to the possible corruption offences involved in above situation.
