There are 6 billion people in the world today and growing by 80 million every year. The UN predicts that the world population will reach 9 billion by 2050. With that growth comes the need for more food.

Thesis statement: Due to the significant increase in the human population, the per capita demand for animal food is growing at rapid pace and will continue to do so for the next 20 - 30 years, unless humans can do something to slow this rate down or substitue the need using science.
