Position Paper. For this assignment you will be writing a 5-6 page paper whereby you take a position on a particular social issue, controversy, or debate. In this paper, you will need not only to advance an arguable claim (thesis), and to then support that claim, but also include a counter-claim, and present the reasoning used by those who would support this opposing position. Of Course, you will then have to refute this position as best you can. Your Conclusion should aim both to consolidate your reasoning and conclusions from earlier in the paper, and to suggest the larger/deeper implications arising from the position youre advocating.
