(a)    Using the two estimates of the extreme value scale parameter, calculate a pooled estimate of the common true value.

(b)   Give the theoretical variance of this estimate in terms of the unknown true value δ

(c)    Calculate the corresponding estimate of the common Weibull shape parameter.

(d)   Calculate two-sided approximate 90% confidence limits for δ using the (Wilson-Hilferty) approximation.

(e)   Calculate the corresponding limits for the common Weibull shape parameter.
