What is your opinion of politics in America today?
Politics is, they say, the process we use to determine who gets what, to decide how we distribute public goods. Inevitably that involves choices.
Some citizens may benefit more from one decision, policy or law, and other citizens may benefit more another time. That's just the nature of decision-making.
Is our political activity in America today doing a good job of balancing benefits for all citizens? If it's not, what should change? Should balancing benefits even be the goal? Do you see politics another way? If so, how?
