A survey of American pet owners was conducted. Each individual was asked "how many pets do you own?" The following statement ws made, "we are 95 percent confident that the mean number of pets owned by American pet owners lies between 3,52 pets and 4.68 pets"

A) Find out the point estimate for this populations. (use either x? or p?)

B) Find the margin of error.

C) If we wanted to be 99% confindent with the margin of error of only 0.25 points, find the number of American pet owners that would need to be surveyed. (Assume that S= 2.03 pets)

D) Is it possible that the mean number of pets owned by American owners is 3.2? Is this likely? Why?
