Managerial Finance - Case Study: JAGUAR LAND ROVER PLC: BOND VALUATION

Case Expectations:

Emphasis should be placed on the main problem being solved, key issues, and/or root causes. Students will be tasked with applying the appropriate analytical tools to case data, both quantitative and qualitative. For some cases, root cause analysis will be used to examine symptoms/key issues to derive alternative solutions mindful of the cause(s). Alternatives will then be critically examined leading to a final solution set. For other cases, the appropriate analytical tools will be used to choose among a set of currently existing alternatives. Finally, some cases will require a combination of both analytical approaches.

Note: Quality cases are usually in between 7 to 10 pages written, not including visuals such as spreadsheets, tables, figures, and graphs. This case must be submitted in an APA style format and cited accordingly; there is a 2-source minimum for this case.

Our latest tasks are now available; specifically, this week is our 3rd Case Study heed instructions and deadlines. Towards those ends, I am an extreme believer that graduate school is an open environment for students to display their knowledge creatively, this is to state, it is hard to debate against your thoughts as long as they are substantiated with valid research and theory. Moreover, I do not like to place too many requirements on "how" you wish to respond to a case, although there is a methodology provided and some minor requirements (2 outside resources & APA format). Stated simply, use your current knowledge base (undergraduate theory, concepts and research methods) and apply them accordingly to the case, you are the expert.

Some general guidance regarding case submissions:

- Apply the theories and concepts learned from your studies to the case

- Provide your own perspective supported w/research (substantiate)

- Use headings for ease of transition and reader direction (APA format)

- Do not assume the reader has any knowledge for which you are explaining and analyzing
