Using outside sources, research, review, familiarize yourself, and understand one of the suggested topics from the list below as it relates to project procurement management.
Write a minimum 5-9 page report.
- Unique legal aspects of procurement
- US Government procurement compared to commercial procurements
- Unique aspects of IT procurements
- Challenges in megaproject procurements
- Analysis of key project procurement issues with the {NAME A MEGAPROJECT} (e.g., The Big Dig, Seattle's Downtown Tunnel, etc.)
- Analyzing and resolving project procurement seller claims
- Identifying and avoiding ethical challenges in project procurement management
Note: Due to their past use in in this class, use of either the Springfield Interchange or Chunnel projects is not permitted. For obvious reasons, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge is also not an acceptable topic for this final paper.
