This week you will need to explore the concept of advocacy in the nursing literature and discuss your views on the importance of the nurse's role as patient advocate. Please review the American Nurses' Association Code of Ethics and the Florida Nurse Practice Act as well as other professional organizations as you develop this paper. The focus of this paper will be on how your role as an advocate will evolve as you move from the ASN to the BSN role. As you prepare to write your paper, evaluate the relevance of nursing research to nursing practice and the legislative arena. Include 3 references from the nursing literature. The body of your paper needs to be 4-5 pages (1400 words) in length and should have a minimum of 3 references not found in the class. It will need to be in APA format.
