Sculpture Analysis:
For this assignment you will go see a piece of art from the TTU Art Museum.
Select a piece of art from the collection. While at the location, analyze the artwork using criteria you are familiar with. Use the terminology on page 45 of your textbook. Using these criteria, create a critical essay about the piece that you have chosen. You should use one topic from the “the ten elements” and one from “the ten principles”. You paper should follow this format:
Paragraph 1: Introduction, why you chose this object. Include the name, media, culture, date, and any other relevant information.
Paragraphs 2-3: Use a minimum of two different criteria, one from each list to discuss your piece. One criterion per paragraph.
Paragraph 4: Other criteria/Conclusion
This paper should be a minimum of 600 words (2 pages) in length. Please use the criteria from your syllabus regarding papers. Pictures are highly recommended, but not required, and do not count as part of the assignment length. All papers must be typed, Times New Roman 12pt. font, and double spaced. Additional points will be reduced if the paper does not resemble basic academic standards.
