Pick a topic of your interest and create a sample ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram) with documentation.
Please use ER Assistant, Visio, or SQL Developer Data Modeler. ERD should have at least 5, but no more than 6 entities with a minimum of 5 attributes in each entity. Entities should be connected with suitable relationships. Your ERD should have comments and please describe your business rules including purpose of each entity, entity relationship and cardinality. Comments/business rules can be embedded in your diagram or in a separate document. Crow's feet notation style is required. The ERD should be free of errors to receive full points. ER Assistant provides automated checks to ensure the ERD is error free.
Use the lab project to answer the following questions:
1. What is your understanding of Entity Integrity Vs Referential Integrity. Illustrated with simple examples for ease of understanding of the concepts.
2. Based upon the lab project, describe 3 entities and illustrate different types of joins using these 3 entities. If you have not yet decided about your lab project then assume you have three entities student, course & enrollment and these tables are related.
3. Describe various types of keys (Primary, Foreign, Superkey etc) with simple examples.
