Pick a brand it can be one you are already familiar with or one you dislike. Check on the internet to see if there have been any ethical issues filed with the Federal Trade Commission against that brand. Share the information and discuss if this will change your mind about the brand and discuss steps the company could do to fix the problem.
(Do not use this Nike example) - Nike was found to have used child labor and really bad labor practices in the factories in the Far East to make their shoes - this was a huge problem for them.
